INGREDIENTS
30g Carob Syrup
½ Tbsp light soy sauce
2 Tsp Oyster sauce
½ Tbsp Hoisin sauce
2 Tsp Honey Mead
½ Tsp Ground white pepper
1 Tsp Five-spice powder
PREPARATION:
1) In a large bowl, combine carob syrup, light soy sauce,
oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, honey mead,
ground white pepper, five spice powder and sesame oil and mix until sugar
dissolves.
2) Add pork and marinade for atleast 4 hours or
overnight.
3) Place the pork belly on a wire
rack and bake for 15 minutes.
4) Turn the pork belly over, brush the remaining char siew sauce over.
5) Place back in the oven for another 15 minutes or until cooked.
6) Remove from heat. When Char Siew is slightly cooled, slice and serve.
